Foundation Volunteers

Make something happen! The Sunny Hills Foundation needs volunteers to keep their programs working. The Foundation's board and volunteers are a fun group of people to work with and it’s great to know that your efforts will benefit the kids at the school. Please look at the list below and see if there is a position you can fill or somewhere that you can volunteer some time. If you don’t see something you like, invent your own position!

Committees

Join one of the Foundation's committees as a volunteer and learn more about how you can help. Look at the list below to see where you might like to contribute your time.

Fundraising Committee Responsible for annual fundraising mailings and promoting new fundraising ideas..
Merchandising Committee Manages the Lancer Pride Store and other merchandice related activites.
Communications Committee Write and distribute press releases and manage the web site.
Disbursement Committee Coordinate with schools department heads to help determine needs.
Golf and Dinner Committee Plan and manage a golf and dinner fundraising event.


Volunteer Positions

These are positions we are trying to fill right now. Please let us now if you see a position where you'd like to help.

Assistant Webmaster
Help us keep the website up to date and current with new donors and information about SHFE’s programs and policies.

Business Fundraiser Coordinator
We are looking for someone to head a committee to raise funds from the local business community. This is someone who is driven to help us improve the school and, preferably, has some experience marketing or working with businesses.

Database Manager
Manage the donor, volunteer, and board databases. This ensures that donors receive thank-you letters and appropriate recognition. No special skills are required other than computer fluency and some experience with Excel.

Fundraising Mailing Coordinator
Take charge of managing the Foundation’s mailings to parents. Help manage bulk mailing and coordinate printing and stuffing of envelopes, the key to our core fundraising effort.

Golf Tournament Committee
We need volunteers to work on a golf tournament fundraiser later this year. This would involve helping with planning, coordination, helping to find sponsors, or any of the many tasks that need to be done to make this event a success.

Grant Writing Assistant
We need help researching and writing grants. There are many companies and large foundations that offer grants for specific projects at the school, but it requires some homework to apply. Help us determine the right grants and work with partners at the school to apply.

Lancer Pride Shop Volunteers
Come and work at the Lancer Pride Shop, our new student store. We are open twice a week at lunch and at select home athletic events. Parent volunteers are needed to get the store cart in place and to sell merchandise.
