Foundation Volunteers
Make something happen! The Sunny Hills Foundation needs volunteers to keep their programs working. The Foundation's board and volunteers are a fun group of people to work with and it’s great to know that your efforts will benefit the kids at the school. Please look at the list below and see if there is a position you can fill or somewhere that you can volunteer some time. If you don’t see something you like, invent your own position!

Committees
Join one of the Foundation's committees as a volunteer and learn more about how you can help.

Responsible for annual fundraising mailings and promoting new fundraising ideas.. |

Manages the Lancer Pride Store and other merchandice related activites. |
| Communications Committee |
Write and distribute press releases and manage the web site. |
| Disbursement Committee |
Coordinate with schools department heads to help determine needs. |
| Spring Fundraiser Committee |
Plan and manage an annual Spring fundraising event. |
Volunteer Positions

Spring Fundraiser Committee
We need a committee to work on our Spring Fundraiser in April. This would involve helping with planning, coordination, helping to find sponsors, or any of the many tasks that need to be done to make this event a success.
Assistant Webmaster
Help us keep the website up to date and current with new donors and information about SHFE’s programs and policies.
Business Fundraiser Coordinator
We are looking for someone to head a committee to raise funds from the local business community. This is someone who is driven to help us improve the school and, preferably, has some experience marketing or working with businesses.
Corresponding Secretary
Manage the donor, volunteer, and board databases and send out thank-you letters and donor appreciation packages in a timely fashion. No special skills are required other than computer fluency and some experience with Excel.
Fundraising Mailing Coordinator
Take charge of managing the Foundation’s mailings to parents. Help manage bulk mailing and coordinate printing and stuffing of envelopes, the key to our core fundraising effort.
Scrip Program Coordinator
We are looking for someone to form a committee which will design, setup and manage a scrip program that is effective as a continuous source for raising funds.
Grant Writing Assistant
We need help researching and writing grants. There are many companies and large foundations that offer grants for specific projects at the school, but it requires some homework to apply. Help us determine the right grants and work with partners at the school to apply.
Lancer Pride Shop Volunteers
Join the committee that designs and purchases merchandise for the Lancer Pride Shop or just come and work at the store. We are open once a week at lunch and at some home athletic events. Parent volunteers are needed to get the store cart in place and to sell merchandise.
